The Story Behind
Emerald Creek
A Love for Wood and Bringing People Together
Emerald Creek Tables began with a simple love for working with wood and bringing people together. What started with just a few boards and a vision has grown into a business building handcrafted furniture that serves a real purpose.
Every piece that leaves the workshop is built the same way it always has been, by hand, with care, and with the intention of lasting for generations.
Emerald Creek Tables is a family business, run by Elliott and his wife, Rylee, out of St. Johns, Michigan. Elliott builds every piece himself, picnic tables, benches, outdoor furniture, and now floating rafts and dock sections, using materials chosen for how they hold up, not just how they look on day one.
Built to Outlast the Moment
A picnic table isn't just a place to eat outside. It's where the next birthday party happens, where the grandkids do homework in the summer, where a lake house cottage starts feeling like it's actually yours. Elliott builds with that in mind every time.
Elliott Warnke
Elliott's been working with wood since he was 12, starting out as a barn-building apprentice. That's where he learned patience and how to actually finish a job right, and it's still how he builds today.
Everything happens out of the workshop in St. Johns. Elliott builds every table start to finish himself, he doesn't outsource any of it, and there's no cutting corners on how a piece gets put together.
Built on a Few Simple Beliefs
Honest Craftsmanship
Every joint, every cut, every board matters. We don't cut corners because corners are what hold everything together.
Real Materials
Premium lumber, heavy-duty structural screws, and finishes built to handle Michigan seasons — year after year.
Built to Gather Around
Furniture should bring people together. We build pieces that become the center of your backyard, your dock, your family.
Michigan-Made
Built in St. Johns from day one. Supporting local means something to us — and we think it shows in the work.
Emerald Creek Tables isn't trying to be the biggest outdoor furniture company out there. It's trying to be the one that's still standing in your backyard, or on your dock, twenty years from now.
